My husband is in CS and he has been guilty of pushing it for our son, but our son has had a passion for robotics since he was little so I did some research and that sounds like it be more mechanical engineering. Looking forward to learning what to expect on his journey towards that. A bonus would be learning what classes are really helpful to take in high school (he starts 9th next fall).
I was planning to reply to this when the mechanical video would be uploaded. Although, my grandma passed away so I think that I will get to make the mechanical episode sometime later.
Although, I will point out that one of the electrical engineering people also was intrested in robotics. So, I suggest keeping that option open.
Finally, I will again apologise for the delayed reply. Also, in India, we don't get to choose our classes. So I don't think any of the guests can help too much with that. Although, from the little I know about engineering, I think being a generalist early on is a good idea. Take all sorts of classes and try to enjoy them, it normally makes you more well rounded, well informed and allows you to approach problems from other directions.
