I made some Zine's.

I’ve made a few quote zines for this new year.

It’s a new year, and I wanted to share some zines I made that you can download and print out. (If you’re having guests, feel free to print out enough to leave one at everyone’s place setting!)

Motivation is always a struggle. Every year we make many resolutions, but sometimes fulfilling them is the real challenge.

This book is my try to make it easy. The quotes are obviously curated by a bunch of redditors, then cherry-picked, and then illustrated by yours truly.

However, I recommend against New Year resolution. There is no way to create a drastic change in life in the way most people aim to do using new year resolutions.

A ceramics teacher announced on opening day that he was dividing the class into two groups. All those on the left side of the studio, he said, would be graded solely on the quantity of work they produced, all those on the right solely on its quality. His procedure was simple: on the final day of class he would bring in his bathroom scales and weigh the work of the “quantity” group: fifty pound of pots rated an “A”, forty pounds a “B”, and so on. Those being graded on “quality”, however, needed to produce only one pot — albeit a perfect one — to get an “A”. Well, came grading time and a curious fact emerged: the works of highest quality were all produced by the group being graded for quantity. It seems that while the “quantity” group was busily churning out piles of work – and learning from their mistakes — the “quality” group had sat theorizing about perfection, and in the end had little more to show for their efforts than grandiose theories and a pile of dead clay.

Also, I am running a self-help reading challenge called Thirty Under Thirty: 30 Books you should read before you turn 30.

We are in week three of thirty while I write this post. Joining it will help you be better, as it is not an accident that successful people read more books.

If you are interested in participating, please fill this form.

Here is a PDF of the zines that you can print out and fold into a booklet:
